Ian S.

1. How long have you taken music lessons?

Piano for 4 years and guitar for almost 3 years. 

2. What instrument(s) do you play?

Piano and Guitar.

3. Who are your favorite musical artists?

I don’t have a favorite artist, but I like to listen to instrumental piano and guitar music. 

4. What are your short and long term goals with music?

To learn new songs (short term) and to be able to sight read really well and be as good as my teachers (long term). 

5. What is your favorite part about taking music lessons?

Learning new things from my teachers 

6. What are your hobbies?

Solving Rubik’s Cubes, playing basketball, and playing video games. 

7. What are some of your favorite foods?

Anything with cheese or chocolate - but not together. 

8. What is the coolest thing you've learned in your lessons recently?

To play a really hard song on piano and to learn how to play the electric guitar

9. Do you have any performances coming up or have you had a performance recently?

I played in the last recital and I will play in the next one, too. 

10. Why should other people play music?

Because you might find out that you like something that you never knew you liked. 

Even when Ian is having a bad day, he will come out of his music lesson more relaxed and with a smile on his face. As his skills have increased, so has his confidence - and not just in music.
